Leinix TechCare

Component-level repair,
not board swapping.

Most service centres replace the whole board. We find the failed component, remove it under a microscope and put a good one back. Cheaper for you, and far less electronic waste for everyone.

Scope

What comes across our bench.

If it has a printed circuit board and a fault, it is worth sending to us before you replace it.

Drone electronics

Flight controllers, 4-in-1 ESCs, power distribution boards, VTX modules, GPS units, gimbal boards and receiver modules.

RC & robotics boards

RC car ESCs, servo controllers, receivers, robot driver boards, motor controllers and sensor modules.

Mobile & tablet boards

Charging IC faults, no-power diagnosis, display and touch IC issues, backlight circuits and port replacement.

Laptop & computing

Motherboard power sequencing, DC jack and charging circuits, no-display faults and BIOS recovery.

Battery packs & BMS

LiPo pack rebuilds, cell balancing faults, BMS diagnosis and connector replacement, handled with proper safety controls.

Radio & RF equipment

Transceiver finals, PA sections, front-end protection circuits, display boards and control panels.

Bench capabilities

The work we actually do.

Removal and replacement of surface-mount components down to 0201 packages under stereo microscope — resistors, capacitors, MOSFETs, regulators, connectors and fine-pitch ICs. Includes broken pad repair and jumper wire reconstruction.
Controlled hot-air and preheat profiles for removing, reballing and reseating ball-grid-array packages — processors, memory, power management ICs and system-on-chip devices — with post-rework continuity verification.
Schematic and boardview-based fault finding using multimeter, bench supply, thermal camera, oscilloscope and short-detection methods. We identify the failed stage rather than guessing at replacements.
Reflashing bricked flight controllers and ESCs, DFU recovery, bootloader restoration, EEPROM and SPI flash programming, and configuration restoration after a failed update.
USB, JST, XT and FPC connector replacement, including pad reconstruction where the original footprint has lifted or torn away.
Ultrasonic cleaning, corrosion removal, trace repair and protective recoating for boards exposed to water, spray chemicals or field conditions.
Hand assembly of prototype boards, modification of existing designs, wiring harnesses and bring-up support for student projects and startup hardware teams.

Service flow

From fault report to tested board.

01

Intake & fault report

You describe the symptom and what happened before it failed. Crash, short, failed firmware update or water — the history narrows the search considerably.

02

Diagnosis

Visual inspection under magnification, then electrical testing against the schematic to isolate the failed stage or component.

03

Estimate & approval

You receive the finding, the proposed repair, the cost and an honest verdict on whether repair is worth it. Nothing proceeds without your approval.

04

Repair

Component-level rework at an ESD-safe bench, using appropriate thermal profiles and genuine replacement parts wherever available.

05

Test & return

Powered testing, functional verification and — for flight electronics — bench motor and telemetry checks before the board is packed and returned.

Service levels

Turnaround options.

Indicative timelines. Actual turnaround depends on fault complexity and component availability — confirmed at estimate stage.

Service levelBest forIndicative turnaroundIncludes
StandardHobby boards, single-fault repairs3–5 working daysDiagnosis, repair, functional test

Transparent

No repair, no charge

If we cannot fix the fault, you pay only the agreed diagnostic fee — never the repair cost.

Documented

Every job returns with what failed, why we think it failed, and how to avoid it next time.

Backed

Warranty on our work

Repairs carry a service warranty on the specific fault repaired. Terms are stated on your job sheet.

Questions

Before you ship a board.

Often, yes. Mid-flight failures usually trace to a shorted MOSFET, a failed regulator, a cracked solder joint from vibration or a damaged connector. What is rarely economical is a board that has suffered a full power-supply cascade or heavy impact fracture — and we will tell you that at estimate stage rather than after taking your money.
The board alone is usually enough, and cheaper to ship. For intermittent faults, motor desync issues or crash damage, send the full airframe so we can test the system as a whole rather than in isolation.
In most cases. Failed firmware flashes, interrupted updates and corrupted bootloaders are recoverable through DFU or direct programming. If the microcontroller itself has failed electrically, replacement is possible where the part is available.
Yes. The service bench is open to any brand and any source. Boards bought from us simply get the benefit of us already knowing the hardware.
We treat stored data as confidential and access it only where the repair requires it. That said, board-level repair always carries some risk to stored data — please back up anything critical before sending a device, and tell us if data recovery is the priority.
Anti-static bag first, then foam or bubble wrap, then a rigid box. Never ship a damaged or swollen LiPo battery — tell us instead and we will advise on safe local disposal. Include a written note of the fault and your contact details inside the package.

Send us the fault before you send it to landfill.

Describe the symptom and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing.
